The University of Central Oklahoma Jazz Lab Presents:
3rd Annual Summer Jazz Camp - July 7-12, 2013

The UCO Jazz Studies Division is excited to present our 3rd annual summer jazz camp experience open to all instrumentalists age 14 and up July 7-12, 2013. The camp will be an immersive musical experience and provide the opportunity to learn from the respected UCO Jazz Faculty and other special guests.
Our workshop is designed to offer an excellent learning experience for beginning jazz improvisers, intermediate experience levels, advanced players, and music educators alike. A few scholarships will be available by audition only - please contact Brian Gorrell for more information.

Please note the purpose of the placement audition on Sunday, July 7 is only to put students into appropriate combos based on ability level. Everyone is guaranteed full participation once their application and tuition payment have been processed.

The workshop schedule for the week will be as follows:

Sunday, July 7 (UCO Jazz Lab)
1:00-5:00PM Dorm room check-in (if applicable)

5:00-10:00PM Orientation, faculty concert, placement auditions, and student jam session
* BUFFET STYLE DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED BY HIDEAWAY PIZZA at 5:45PM

** Throughout the week, transportation will be provided as needed for students to travel between the dorm rooms, the School of Music Building, and the UCO Jazz Lab. Students under the age of 18 staying in the dorms will be supervised by a responsible adult UCO jazz student assisting with our camp. It is NOT necessary to stay in the dorms, but is the most affordable option for most out of town participants. Rates start at only $32 per night double occupancy.
